ACTION ALERT: Don’t let Purdue Pharma off the hook!

Dear Friends:

The time for action is RIGHT NOW. We need your help.

Earlier this week, it was reported that Purdue Pharma is in negotiations to settle ALL claims against the company for their role in the opioid crisis for a mere $10-12 billion in a global settlement. If this happens, people impacted—like yourself—will never see Purdue face trial.  And as I write this, Attorneys General from all across the country are considering accepting this insufficient proposal.

The Sackler family would give up ownership of Purdue Pharma, the company blamed for much of the opioid epidemic, and pay an additional $3 billion of their own money under the proposed terms. Forbes estimates

The Sackler family will still maintain their billionaire status under the current proposal. This is unacceptable.Experts estimate it will take hundreds of billions of dollars over the course of 20-30 years to clean up the mess this company helped to create. We cannot be silent and let our policy makers decide on Purdue’s fate without showing up and being vocal about where WE stand.Time is of the essence. Please find your state’s attorney general and their contact information by using this search tool provided by the National Association of Attorneys General here

Here’s what I’m asking you to do: call, email, tweet, write, post on Facebook, communicate this message directly and tell your Attorney General NOT TO ACCEPT THE GLOBAL SETTLEMENT PROPOSAL FOR PURDUE PHARMA. Share your story with them and let them know how this company’s actions have impacted your life.

It’s up to us! If we don’t act now, we may lose the last chance we have to hold this drug king pin, Purdue Pharma & the Sackler family, responsible for ripping our communities apart from coast to coast.

Please take action.

Thanks for all you do, Ryan.
